A lovely Wednesday

I was off of work and got to keep Evita all day long instead of having to drop her off in the morning. I noticed that ever since the custody arrangement took effect, she has been quite the chatterbox whenever I’ve had her. We went for a walk yesterday morning before it got too hot, and she told me that she decided she wants to be a paramedic when she grows up. I was very happy with that. I know kids change their minds as they get older, but I hope this goal sticks. My feelings about college education have definitely transferred to my hopes for my daughter. I do not want her to believe the conventional wisdom of my parents’ generation that going to college is the only way to success. I want her to be creative with her success. Our local community college has a two year paramedic program that starts you off getting certified first as an EMT and then a paramedic. I told her that I don’t have what it takes to do that job, but she does.

After I dropped her off, I parked at the mall and did a few food deliveries. By nightfall, I made $41.36. I paid all of this into the “oldest card”, which is the debt I’m choosing to tackle first. This brings the balance from $725 down to $683.64.

Not an even amount, but my intention was to throw whatever commission and tips I received last night into that card. I get paid tomorrow from my main job, so it’s no big deal. I even paid my first car payment, but scheduled it for tomorrow.
